Crate: Shopify Product Export & Store Watch — Privacy Policy

Crate is a browser extension that exports the products of the Shopify store open in your tab and shows what changed since your last export. This policy says what it does with data.

What Crate handles

• The store’s product list. When you click Crate’s toolbar button, it loads the product list the store publishes at its own address (/products.json), the same list any visitor can open. It is saved only to a file you export.
• A record of each store you export. After loading a whole store, Crate keeps each product’s title, address, lowest price and stock status in your browser’s extension storage, on your computer, so that it can show what changed on your next visit. Removing the extension deletes it.
• Purchase status. If you buy Crate Pro, the extension keeps a key and your purchase status in your browser’s extension storage so that Pro stays unlocked.

Crate has no servers of its own. It runs only on the tab where you click it, and collects no browsing history, no analytics and no personal data.

Payments

Crate Pro is sold through ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe for the payment. When you buy, ExtensionPay collects your email address and Stripe collects your payment details. The extension never sees your card. ExtensionPay (https://extensionpay.com) and Stripe (https://stripe.com/privacy) are responsible for that data.

Sharing

Crate does not sell or share data with anyone, and does not use it for anything but the features above.
