Sift: Comment Search & Export for YouTube — Privacy Policy

Sift is a browser extension that loads, searches and exports the comments of the YouTube video you are watching. This policy says what it does with data.

What Sift handles

• Comments of the video you open. Sift loads the video’s public comments from YouTube, the same way the YouTube page does. They stay in your browser tab and are gone when you leave the video. They are saved only to a file you export yourself.
• Purchase status. If you buy Sift Pro, the extension keeps a key and your purchase status in your browser’s extension storage so that Pro stays unlocked.

Sift has no servers of its own. It collects no browsing history, no analytics and no personal data, and it reads no site other than youtube.com and extensionpay.com.

Payments

Sift Pro is sold through ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe for the payment. When you buy, ExtensionPay collects your email address and Stripe collects your payment details. The extension never sees your card. ExtensionPay (https://extensionpay.com) and Stripe (https://stripe.com/privacy) are responsible for that data.

Sharing

Sift does not sell or share data with anyone, and does not use it for anything but the features above.
