Trove: WooCommerce Product Export & Store Watch — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Trove is a browser extension that exports the products of the WooCommerce store open in your tab and shows what changed since your last export. This policy says what it does with data.
What Trove handles
- The store’s product list. When you click Trove’s toolbar button, it loads the product list
the store publishes through WooCommerce’s own public interface (
/wp-json/wc/store/), the same list its shop pages are built from. It is saved only to a file you export. - A record of each store you export. After loading a whole store, Trove keeps each product’s title, address, lowest price and stock status in your browser’s extension storage, on your computer, so that it can show what changed on your next visit. Removing the extension deletes it.
- Purchase status. If you buy Trove Pro, the extension keeps a key and your purchase status in your browser’s extension storage so that Pro stays unlocked.
- How many times you exported. Trove counts your exports in the same storage, only to ask once, after the second, whether you would review it on the Chrome Web Store. The count never leaves your browser.
Trove has no servers of its own. It runs only on the tab where you click it, and collects no browsing history, no analytics and no personal data.
Payments
Trove Pro is sold through ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe for the payment. When you buy, ExtensionPay collects your email address and Stripe collects your payment details. The extension never sees your card. ExtensionPay (https://extensionpay.com) and Stripe (https://stripe.com/privacy) are responsible for that data.
Sharing
Trove does not sell or share data with anyone, and does not use it for anything but the features above.
