Berth: Session Backup & Recovery — Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Berth is a Chrome extension made by Spyridon Pikoulas. This page explains its free plan, Pro purchase, purchase restoration and refunds.
The service
Berth saves browser-session checkpoints, writes external JSON backups when enabled, and restores selected HTTP and HTTPS links with their window, pinned-tab and native tab-group structure. It does not restore unsaved forms, document edits, cookies or login sessions. Keep a surviving external backup to recover after losing a browser profile.
Free plan and Berth Pro
The free plan includes three named workspaces and up to seven days of rolling checkpoint history. Berth Pro costs US$12.99 once, through ExtensionPay and Stripe. It provides unlimited named workspaces and up to 90 days of rolling checkpoint history, subject to the storage bounds and history thinning described in Berth. There is no recurring subscription charge.
Reaching the free workspace limit does not remove access to existing work, imports, exports or restores. Restore a Pro purchase through Berth’s Restore a purchase option, using the email address you paid with through ExtensionPay.
Refunds
A Pro purchase can be refunded within 14 days. Write to spyridwn.pd@gmail.com from the email address you paid with.
Your data
Session contents and backup files stay under your control. Purchase verification uses ExtensionPay and Stripe. See the Berth privacy policy for local storage, external backups, payment information and optional launch usage counts.
Your part
Use Berth lawfully and within the Chrome Web Store’s terms. Don’t try to get around the free plan’s limit or the purchase check.
Warranty and liability
Berth is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It helps you keep and restore sessions but cannot guarantee that every tab, group or backup is captured or recoverable; keep your own copies of anything important. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost tabs or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Berth. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may change these terms or Berth’s price; a price change doesn’t affect a purchase already made. The date at the top shows the latest version. Danish law governs these terms.
