MatchFill: Fuzzy Match Lists in Google Sheets™ — Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms are between you and Spyridon Pikoulas, who makes MatchFill, an add-on for Google Sheets™. Installing or using MatchFill means you accept them.
The service
MatchFill matches one list in the spreadsheet you open it in against another: for each row of the first list it finds the row of the second whose text in the chosen column is the most similar, scored from 0 to 100, and counts it as a match when the score is at least the lowest score you choose. A list is a range of up to 5,000 rows and 26 columns.
Matches are a judgement of similar text, not of identity. Two different people or companies with similar names can match, and the same one typed very differently can find no match. Check the matches before you rely on them.
The preview changes nothing. A run writes the matches either to a new tab, or to new columns it inserts beside the first list: inserting columns moves the cells to their right across, but no cell is written over. Create sample tabs adds two new tabs of fictional customers and orders. Edit > Undo and File > Version history in Sheets show and restore the spreadsheet as it was before.
Free use and the one-time purchase
The preview is free over whole lists. Each Google account gets 3 runs free in total, across spreadsheets. A free run matches the first 50 rows of the first list against the first 50 rows of the second, so a match the preview finds further down is not written. A run that is refused or fails before writing anything uses none; creating sample tabs uses none.
After that, MatchFill is a $9 one-time unlock per Google account for runs over whole lists, paid through Stripe at the price shown before you pay, plus any tax due. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. Google’s service limits apply to free and paid use.
Any payment can be refunded within 14 days: write to the address below with the Google account email used for the purchase. A full refund or dispute removes the unlock when a later billing check finds it; checks are normally cached for six hours, so this is not instant.
Your part
Use MatchFill lawfully and within Google’s terms, only with data you have the right to use. Check the matches before you rely on them. Don’t try to get around the free limit or the purchase check.
Warranty and liability
MatchFill is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for MatchFill in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may change these terms or MatchFill’s price. A new price applies to future purchases. The date at the top shows the latest version. Danish law governs these terms.
