RandomFill: Random Number, Name & Team Generator — Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms are between you and Spyridon Pikoulas, who makes RandomFill, an add-on for Google Sheets™. Installing or using RandomFill means you accept them.

The service

RandomFill works in the spreadsheet you open it in. It fills the cells you select with random numbers, dates, entries picked from a list you give it, or passwords; or reorders the rows you select; or deals the names in a column you select into teams. A fill covers up to 50,000 cells, and a list to pick from or a column of names up to 5,000 entries.

Random values. Numbers, dates, picks, shuffles and teams are pseudo-random, for everyday use, teaching and games; don’t use them for security, gambling, lotteries or draws with legal or financial consequences.

Passwords are made with a cryptographically secure random source. RandomFill writes them into the cells you select, so anyone who can open the spreadsheet can see them, and the spreadsheet’s version history keeps them, even after the cells are cleared. We never see them. Move them to a password manager, then clear the cells; you are responsible for who can open the spreadsheet.

What is written where. The preview changes nothing. A fill writes into the cells you selected, and writes over filled cells only when you tick Write over filled cells. A shuffle reorders the selected rows in place, each row whole with its number formats; it refuses rows with formulas or merged cells. Teams go to a new tab; the column of names is not changed. Create sample tab adds a new tab of fictional names and colours. Edit > Undo and File > Version history in Sheets show and restore the spreadsheet as it was before.

Free use and the one-time purchase

Previews are free. Each Google account gets 10 fills free in total, across spreadsheets; a fill, a shuffle and a teams tab each count as one. A write that is refused or fails before writing anything uses none; creating the sample tab uses none.

After that, RandomFill is a $9 one-time unlock per Google account for unlimited fills, paid through Stripe at the price shown before you pay, plus any tax due. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. Google’s service limits apply to free and paid use.

Any payment can be refunded within 14 days: write to the address below with the Google account email used for the purchase. A full refund or dispute removes the unlock when a later billing check finds it; checks are normally cached for six hours, so this is not instant.

Your part

Use RandomFill lawfully and within Google’s terms, only with data you have the right to use. Check the preview before you write. Don’t try to get around the free limit or the purchase check.

Warranty and liability

RandomFill is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for RandomFill in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may change these terms or RandomFill’s price. A new price applies to future purchases. The date at the top shows the latest version. Danish law governs these terms.
