ChartFill: Sankey, Pareto, Box Plot & Gantt Charts
ChartFill is an add-on for Google Sheets™ that draws the charts Sheets does not have from the cells you select, and inserts each one into the spreadsheet as a picture. It replaces SplitFill on the same Google Workspace Marketplace listing.
- Sankey: flows from one thing to another, from a From, a To and an Amount column. Repeated pairs are added up.
- Pareto: categories largest first, with the running percentage and an 80% line. Count rows, or add up a value column.
- Box plot: median, quartiles, whiskers and outliers, for several columns of numbers or one column split by a group.
- Funnel: each stage with its share of the first.
- Likert: survey answers as diverging bars, from the answers themselves (Strongly agree, Agree, …, or 1 to 5) or from counts.
- Gantt: tasks from their start and end dates, coloured by owner or any column you choose.
- Calendar heat map: a value per day over up to three years.
Select the table, or one cell in it; ChartFill picks the columns, which you can change, and shows the chart as it will be inserted. Insert puts it beside the data. The chart is a picture and does not change with your data: the sidebar lists your charts, and Redraw reads the cells again and puts the new chart in the old one’s place. Each chart’s alt text describes it and holds its settings, so it can be redrawn.
ChartFill works in the spreadsheet you open it in and does not change your cells. It sends your data to no AI or other service; the chart is drawn in your browser.
