MarkFill: Highlight Words in Google Docs™
MarkFill is an add-on for Google Docs™ that highlights the words on your lists everywhere in a document, each list in its own colour, with a count and a suggested replacement for each word.
- Your lists: MarkFill starts with two lists of its own, filler words and weak words, each word with a suggestion, and an empty list for your style guide’s terms. Edit them, add your own (up to eight), give each a colour and switch each on or off. They are kept with your Google account, so every document uses them.
- Every match, counted: one click highlights every match in every tab, or in this tab only, tables, lists, headers, footers and footnotes included. Whole words only or inside words too, with or without matching case. The sidebar lists the words found, how often, and the suggestion beside each.
- Your words stay as they are: MarkFill changes only highlight colours, never the text. Text you highlighted yourself keeps its colour.
- Clear in one click: Clear removes MarkFill’s highlights and leaves yours. Each new run clears the last one’s first.
- Try it: in an empty tab, add a few paragraphs of sample text and highlight them.
Plans
- Free: 3 highlight runs in total per Google account. Clearing is always free, and so is a run that finds nothing.
- MarkFill: $9 once per Google account for unlimited runs. No subscription. Refunds within 14 days. See the terms.
