RandomFill: Random Number, Name & Team Generator

RandomFill is an add-on for Google Sheets™ that fills cells with random values that stay put: they are written as plain values, so they don’t change each time the sheet recalculates.

Numbers: from a range you choose, whole or with up to 6 decimals, with or without repeats.
Dates: between two dates, weekdays only if you like, with or without repeats.
Picks from your list: names or other entries, from cells in the sheet or typed one per line, with or without repeats.
Passwords: 4 to 64 characters from the kinds you choose, at least one of each, made with a cryptographically secure random source. They are written into the sheet, so anyone who can open it can see them, and its version history keeps them: move them to a password manager, then clear the cells.
Shuffle rows: the selected rows are reordered in place, each row whole, a heading row kept at the top.
Random teams: names from one column dealt into teams, written to a new tab, one column per team. Your names stay as they are.
Preview, then write: the preview shows the values and changes nothing. Filled cells are written over only when you tick Write over filled cells. Edit > Undo and File > Version history bring back what was there before.

Up to 50,000 cells per fill, lists of up to 5,000 entries. Numbers, dates, picks, shuffles and teams are pseudo-random, for everyday use, teaching and games, not for security, gambling, lotteries or draws with legal or financial consequences.
