DiffFill: Compare Two Tabs for Google Sheets™ - Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Spyridon Pikoulas, who makes DiffFill, an add-on for Google Sheets™. Installing or using DiffFill means you accept them.
The service
DiffFill compares two explicitly chosen tab ranges in the current spreadsheet. You select unique key columns and map fields. Preview reads displayed values; confirmation creates a new report tab containing counts, field differences, source row references and metadata. Existing source cells and report tabs are not overwritten. Report tabs contain copied data and follow the spreadsheet’s existing sharing permissions. DiffFill does not decide which list is correct or merge changes back. Reports are snapshots, not automatically synchronized views.
Comparison is exact displayed text: case, spaces, number/date display and leading zeroes still present in the source matter. Equal underlying values with different display formats can differ. Formula definitions, formatting, notes and validation rules are not audited. There is no fuzzy matching, trimming or automatic numeric conversion. Blank/whitespace-only or duplicate keys, invalid mappings, changed sources and oversized jobs refuse the whole comparison.
Each source supports 1–5,000 data rows, up to 21 columns and 105,021 cells including an optional heading row. You can compare up to 20 mapped fields. Each displayed cell is at most 20,000 characters; combined source text is at most 2,000,000 characters. A report supports up to 2,000 detail lines and 4,000,000 text characters. Oversized reports are refused, not silently truncated. These bounds are not a completion-time guarantee. Google’s service limits and the same technical limits apply to free and paid use.
Free plan and the one-time unlock
The free plan allows three generated reports in total per Google account, across spreadsheets. Preview is free. A report counts once, including a zero-difference summary report. Usage is recorded only after the full report has been written, verified and recorded as complete; simply creating a tab does not count as successful completion.
A recognized retry of the unchanged latest job can reopen the same verified report without another free use, even at the free cap. After reopening DiffFill, choose identical sources and settings, Preview, then Create or reopen this report. Deleting/editing the report or ambiguous partial output can refuse a retry. An incomplete tab stays visible for inspection; DiffFill does not overwrite or silently remove it. Keep completed report tabs you need.

The latest report record has no automatic expiry. Starting a different report that passes source and allowance checks replaces it before completion. No free use is taken until verified completion is recorded. Forget latest retry receipt removes recognition without deleting report tabs, restoring free usage or removing the purchase. A forgotten/replaced report loses its free retry recognition; creating another report then requires remaining allowance or the unlock.
The $9 one-time unlock covers reports within DiffFill’s supported workflows and technical limits for the Google account shown in the sidebar, plus any tax shown at checkout. It has no scheduled expiry, subscription or automatic renewal. Payment is through Stripe. The unlock belongs to the account used to buy it, rather than every collaborator on the spreadsheet. A full refund or disputed payment removes the paid unlock.
Any payment can be refunded within 14 days: write to the address below with the email you paid with.
Your part
Use DiffFill lawfully, within Google’s terms, and only with data you have the right to use. Check source ranges, key uniqueness, mappings, displayed-value semantics and completed reports before relying on them. Consider who can access copied comparison data under your spreadsheet’s sharing settings. Do not try to bypass the free limit or plan check.
Warranty and liability
DiffFill is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for DiffFill in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may change these terms or prices. A later price change does not charge an existing one-time buyer again for the unlock they bought. The date above shows the latest version. Danish law governs these terms.
